It's still going to work the same way", my exasperated partner hissed into my ear as I grabbed cartons after cartons of some 'designer' tissue. Yes, for a graphic designer and writer who understands all about the kind of effort one puts into packaging and branding products, I sure fell for it. I am entitled to fall for good packaging, I have a prevailing right to be human.

However they are so quite ... the product packaging. I swear!

They have the 'nature enthusiast' packaging, the 'fruity' packaging, the 'lady on the go' packaging, and after that they have the 'kids' product packaging. I got 4 of each style plans and made a run for the counter with them with my shouting kids and exasperated spouse running after me in sluggish motion. It was certainly a 'die-hard' moment. You know, when the hero is escaping from a bunch of wild bad guys with machine guns, and they're shooting at your feet or something ... and there's an explosion behind you ... and whatever occurs in ssslllloooowwwww mmmmooooottttttiiiioooonnnnn.

Well, in this case, I was running for checkout with boxes of tissue paper with expensive packaging designs on them. I liked the product packaging creates so much, after using up all the tissues in the boxes, I would cut out the designs and put it into my 'should keep for recommendation' clear folder. I don't keep a lot of things in there because I am pretty selective about the designs that I like, but these packaging styles made the cut.

You see, this is the kind of thing that happens when you put some effort into making your product packaging style. Yeah, we all have this in the back of our heads ... "Hey, it's PACKAGING! They're going to THROW the PACKAGING away.

The more effort you put into developing your packaging, more customers will take a look and stop at your packaging or what's inside the packaging. Now, does it make sense for me to state now that when they stop and take notice of your packaging, your opportunity of getting them to buy your item increases?

You see, the role of packaging is to grab the customer's attention. And without an electrifying packaging, consumers are going to here walk past the loads and stacks of other competitor items ... and yours ... without even understanding you're there! Your item is sitting there on a rack, for goodness sake, and the only weapon you have is to have a great packaging. You've won the first round once they take an appearance and stop.

Consider it!

Well, in this case, I was running for checkout with boxes of tissue paper with elegant packaging designs on them. I liked the packaging designs so much, after using up all the tissues in the boxes, I would cut out the styles and place it into my 'should keep for reference' clear folder. I do not keep a lot of stuff in there due to the fact that I am quite selective about the styles that I like, however these packaging styles made the cut. The more effort you put into developing your packaging, more clients will stop and take an appearance at your product packaging or what's inside the paper packaging bag.
